A recruiting video is one of the most important tools a field hockey player can use in the college recruitment process. Field hockey is a highly position-specific sport. A recruiting video allows a midfielder, forward, or goalkeeper to highlight exactly the skills relevant to their role, whether that’s defensive tackles, penalty corner execution, aerial trapping, or shooting under pressure.
The right field hockey recruiting video gives coaches context that numbers alone can’t provide, including: athleticism, coachability (body language, team interaction), composure under pressure, and competitive intensity. Field hockey recruiting videos start at $150 each. You send me game links, or upload your videos to the cloud, email me the time stamps of the highlights that you want included in the reel, and a picture and some info about the athlete, and I will create your custom video!
*Additional costs may be necessary for clips that need to be re-edited/re-formatted for a professional video. The most common cause for extra fees is clips that were done on a phone. Please try to avoid using free video editing apps on a phone to clip your highlights.

15 highlights: $200 per video (minimum recommended by coaches for recruiting)
20 highlights: $250 per video

Why Do I need a Professional Field Hockey Highlight Video?
College coaches receive hundreds of inquiries and simply don’t have the time or budget to attend every prospect’s game. A well-made recruiting video is often the first, and sometimes only chance a player has to get a coach’s attention before being invited for a visit or offered a roster spot.
What is included in the video?
- The field hockey video begins and ends with a player card, with important info coaches need to have right up front, contact info, and info on the athlete’s past success.
- Circle or arrow on the athlete to help coaches easily ID the athlete, creating using a jump cut to draw the attention directly to the player.
- Ordering of the highlights to help keep coaches engaged (free upon request).
- Your video uploaded to YouTube with proper SEO to attract coaches.

Will you watch the games and pick the plays for us?
Yes! If you’re struggling with the time, or knowledge to pick the highlights yourself, I am happy to step in and take this off your plate! The typical cost starts at $450, in addition to the prices above to create the field hockey recruiting video itself. I will review full game footage and pick out the best 15 plays.
How long should my highlight video be?
Highlight clips of 3–5 minutes maximum. Although it’s my experience coaches will not watch past 4 minutes (usually 20 highlights), this sometimes depends on the position you play.
What quality video can you work with?
At minimum, 720p, and up to 4k. Do not record clips on your phone using a 3rd party app. It will produce terrible quality video!
What Clips Should I Include?
Again, this does depend on your position. But, ideally a mix of offensive and defensive contributions, plus showing your speed and athleticism relative to competition level.
How do we send you the video?
Ideally, you send me the links to each game, with times where the plays are. Only attempt to cut video yourself if you know what you’re doing. Google Drive is the best option to send me clips.
You said don’t edit the video on a phone, but can we record on a phone?
Definitely! Today’s cell phone cameras produce great video quality. No need to purchase an expensive camcorder.
How fast do we get the completed video?
Most of my Google reviews mention how fast my turnaround time is. It depends on you, and other clients. All clients are first come, first served. But, typically within 48 hours.
I’m making my own video, and it doesn’t look right. Can you look at it?
If you’re creating your own field hockey recruiting video, and have questions, I will gladly take a look at what you’ve done. I charge a $50 non-refundable deposit. If you decide to use my services, that $50 will be applied to the cost of your future video.
